Intuition is something that is described as coming from the heart, or a gut feeling. Perhaps you have an intuitive mind. Albert Einstein calls the intuitive mind a "sacred gift." Intuition is instinctual, when you know, you just know. These feelings or thoughts are the closest thing we get in life to a road map. It does not matter where your intuition comes from, the important thing is to learn to recognize it, regardless of its source.
Our intuition is just below the surface, waiting to support us any time we face a decision. Maybe you get a tingle, or the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Perhaps it is a whisper, or a voice you hear. Intuition can help us when making snap decisions, if you are tuned in to your body and what it is telling you. But if the choice to be made is not of an urgent matter, "sit" with one decision for a moment. Put that on and see how it feels. Then, in fairness, sit with the other options. Whatever options make you feel like it is against your better judgment, that is your intuition speaking to you.
Go within for the answers you seek. No one else knows exactly how you feel about a certain situation. People may offer up advise, but that advise is based upon their own unique experiences and beliefs. Experiences you may not have had or beliefs you may not hold. Most people offer up advice in the hopes of keeping others from experiencing the same pain they went through, but it does not mean your outcome will be the same. Simply say thank you and you will consider their input. Besides, the best lessons in life are the ones we've had to learn for ourselves. They stay with you.
When it comes time to make that decision, go with what feels right to you. It is your inner knowing that will reveal the wisest advice to you. Learn to listen to your wise old self! Learn to trust your intuition.
