Walk and Coach!
Getting FIT in all areas of your life!

Want to work on your health the same time you are being coached by a Certified Life Coach? I have created a "Walk and Coach" program! If you are interested in my Life Coaching services and want to purchase them for $25 per session, comment below or message me! My goal is to work with clients on a daily basis as we simply walk around my neighborhood, or the local library or local parks.(I am in Gilbert, AZ near Higley and Queen Creek)
 
I like to be heading out the door just as day breaks. Why not start your day off on the right foot? Why not work on physical fitness as we work on fitness in other areas of our lives? This is an all around WIN WIN WIN situation!

I am mindful of my thoughts

As I headed out on my early morning walk this morning, I found myself swimming in my head tossing around recent events, experiences and conversations I have had. Thoughts just seemed to be bouncing around in my head regarding fears, negativity and doubt pertaining to a number of things going on in my life.  It all seemed to just be a swirling mess, as if it were a cesspool of crap circling around my mind and trying to drain down into my body. I actually felt my body slowing down and feeling heavier as if I were dragging a 50 pound weight behind me. They were sucking the energy right out of me. I even thought to myself I'd be lucky to walk all 5 miles today and considered just going half way and then turning back.

I was aware what was going on in my brain and I did not care for it one bit, so I actually said out loud STOP! I realized the thoughts I was having were not doing me any good and if I wanted to change the outcome to these situations, I had to change my thoughts regarding them. I reminded myself I am in control of my thoughts! Instead of perpetuating on what has happened, I decided to focus on the desired results I wished to experience. So the first thing I said to myself was "I am mindful of my thoughts." And it just went from there.

I started to focus on all the positive outcomes I hoped to experience in every area of my life, and decided to put each new thought into an affirmation. I focused on my business, my health, my financial status, my relationships, my clients, my writing, and my dreams. 

Here is just a sample of affirmations I came up with: I am healthy, fit and trim. I am attracting clients who value my services. I am drama-free. I am a highly sought after workshop facilitator. I am a positive being of light and spread happiness with every person I have contact with. I am making healthy decisions. I am financially secure. I am making a difference and bringing value to people's lives with my coaching, teaching and writing. I attract positive personal and business relationships. I am dedicated, disciplined and determined!

I spent an hour and 20 minutes basically meditating on affirming and positive thoughts. (No, you do not have to be perched upon a pillow with your eyes closed sitting in a yoga position with sage burning to be meditating!) I can guarantee you if I were to try to sit for an hour and 20 minutes to focus on these new thoughts I would have extreme difficulty doing so. The walking helped me move forward in my body and in my mind.

What I found as I said these things over and over in my head was not only the shift in my thoughts, but how my thoughts had an immediate and direct affect on my body and how it was reacting.  All of a sudden I found I was walking faster, I was standing more upright and walking with more confidence. My spirits lifted and my pace increased. I did not focus on the pain in my knees, how my lower back hurt and how my feet ached, something I would normally do, and would slow me down. As a matter of fact, the shifting thoughts gave me more energy and at one point instead of walking my normal path home, I decided to add an additional mile! From now on I intend to combine my workout time with mindful thoughts.

I invite you to be mindful of your thoughts. THOUGHTS HAVE POWER! Do not perpetuate on the bad, and drown in the negative or the ugly, focus instead on the possibility and potentiality of each situation in your life. You may just find you go that extra mile to get the results you desire!

Give birth to your personality

What does it mean to give birth to your own personality? It means to discover who you are. To go to the core, to get to the true you, the real you. Perhaps a part of yourself that was once alive and well, but somewhere along the way was simply lost.

To discover your true, authentic personality and to be able to live your life from that place, allows for a level of freedom and  self-expression that brings fulfillment in all areas of your life. To understand why you behave the way you do, to have self-acceptance and to share that acceptance of others for who they are, is one way to enhance communication and cooperation.
 
Understanding your personality type helps to know your values, your strengths, what your natural gifts are as well as areas of challenge. It helps you to discover the right career path, your purpose or your calling. To discover your purpose means to be the fullest expression of who you are, and to use your unique gifts and abilities to serve the world to help others. Only you can sing your song, only you can dance your dance, only you can create that masterpiece.
